How far is Hermosa Beach from San Jose airport?
Hermosa is a 2 hour car ride from the airport through the mountains to the Pacific. We can help with car hire, pick up or arrange a taxi for $80
How far is the closest town?
The town of Jaco is approximately 8 minutes away by car. There you will find a variety of shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. There is a bank, an ATM machine, surfboard hire, a variety of hardware stores and a large supermatket.
Is there any place to buy groceries?
You can do your grocery shopping at the Mas X Menos Supermarket in the town of Jaco or ask us for directions to the daily fruit and vegetable market. Great prices and fresh produce. Also freshly squeezed orange juice, breads and baked goods.
Is there security in the property?
We have 4 working staff daily and a security guard at night until 6am.
Is the beach good for kids?
Our beach is a surfers beach, there may be strong currents in the ocean, Nevertheless during low tide it is a good beach for swimming or playing in the waves. We would not recommend leaving children alone on the beach. We have a wonderful pool area that is perfect for the younger ones.
What activities are within an hours reach?

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the bungalows along our beautiful beach. We like:

How many people can a bungalow accommodate?
All bungalows have 2 bedrooms, some of them have bunk beds to accommodate 3-4 people on the second bedroom. The maximum allowed in a bungalow is 5-6 people, depending on the unit.
What can we expect to see in Jaco, Costa Rica?
Maccaws, Green parrots, Hummingbirds, Monkeys, Small Crocodiles, Whales (during the months of January –March)
What happens at night at Hermosa Bunglaows?
There is a local fishman who sells to us and we often gather around the pool for a barbeque.
